Simon Robinson FCPA
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Simon has been with us 18 years. He has worked in every department of the Company and now holds a senior managerial position overseeing all the operations of our Ilkeston office.
He has acquired a wealth of knowledge and respect from our clients over the years and he goes above any beyond to help, wherever he can.
Outside of the office, Simon is a beekeeper. He got his first colony in 2021 and now looks after 5 hives.
Jayne Horspool
Accountants Senior
Jayne started with AHBS in 2017. A meticulous accountant, Jayne certainly has the “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed when it comes to your accounts. Jayne is our resident Sage 50 & Quickbooks expert with a keen interest in the charity sector.
Jayne is an active volunteer at St Peters Church Awsworth where she is their Treasurer. She loves dogs and spend many hours at her allotment.
Ben Bywater
Accountants Junior
Ben started with us in 2017. A well rounded member of the team, Ben’s approachability and level of detail has earnt him the respect of his clients and fellow colleagues. He has achieved accreditations which QuickBooks diversifying his skill set.
Ben can usually be found on the bowling green. He had his first cap for England under 25’s in 2023, a huge and prestigious achievement for his sport.
Richard Robinson
Payroll Manager
Richard started with AHBS in 2018. He manages our payroll department taking care of payroll for sole traders to large Limited Companies with over 30 staff. Our payroll system has a full audit trail which is of particular importance where there are multiple managers approving wages.
Richard has a passion for gardening. You can regularly find him in the summer out in his garden pottering and pruning. He is also an accomplished and well respected flat green bowler with many County and National titles.
Jack Shaw MAAT
AAT Accountant
Jack started with us in 2019 and immediately started on the AAT qualification. In 2023 he passed achieving MAAT status. We are incredibly proud of his commitment and achievement in the industry.
With a keen interest for the major cloud accounting software providers, Jack is our expert in Sage, Xero and FreeAgent.
Jack is keen Forest fan and regularly plays 5-a side football.
